Artist's Comments

I'm on a roll today.

The pencils for movie Starscream. I was trying to get a bit more of a dynamic pose, ala Bonecrusher rather than the usual "standing-in-the-middle-of-the-page-all-tough-looking". So I'm thinking of adding rocket exhaust on either the bottom of his feet or the engines in his back (or both) when I get around to the final coloring. Inks will commence immediately alongside the line art for Optimus Prime (I already have a rough layout and he will be awesome).

C&C is encouraged and appreciated.

Enjoy.

he´s so awesome, starscream is my favourite transformer

Dude wicked sweet! Why people detest Screamers new look is beyond me. I'm open to new ideas and the fact Screamer that looks completely and utterly evil suits him just fine. I love the fact that they made him a F-22 Raptor :XD: In my opinion though he would've looked all the best disguised as the F-35 Razorback. =3

HOLY *BLEEP*!

This is the best one since Brawl! I love how you made one of his hands a gun and the other in normal mode.

Thanks.

The pose isn't as dynamic as I was hoping it would be but it's certainly more interesting than if he was just standing there. Although, the inks are making him look a lot better than just the raw pencils.

I think it's still pretty dynamic! It sure beats the snot out of mine, both in terms of the pose and detail, that's for sure :P.

I ought to do a remake, but between StarCraft 2 and Avatar, I have too many interests :P.

This is great, and I especially love his left leg! :)

Wow amazing! How *do* you do it! Keep up the great job! Very detailed... Very good!

I honestly couldn't tell you. Lol. Well, I probably could but it would take a lot paragraphs. I'm considering doing a kind of "behind-the-scenes" tutorial on how I approach this type of work one of these days but not for a good while yet.

Anyway, thanks for the good comments.

Hehehe... I figured it was pure raw talent. You know... The type where if you got it, you just got it. I guess it's also a different styles because even though I do pencil drawings I can't do the style that you do. ;)

But it'd be cool if you could do tutorials! ;)

I was sorta joking. I have a method that's basically, start with the layouts of the different parts of the body, then do another rough pass filling in the specific details, and then start to clean up those pieces until eventually I've finished. It's sort of a loose, trial and error method but it needs talent to get the job done, naturally.
